PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Middlemount Coal Pty Ltd (Middlemount) is an incorporated joint venture between Peabody Energy Australia Pty Ltd and Yancoal Australia Ltd.
NRW was awarded the contract to provide full mining services in July 2011. By February 2013 the contract evolved into provision of a fully maintained fleet. In February 2015, NRW secured an additional three-year contract extension valued at $330 million.
NRW provided the following fully maintained fleet:
- 2 x 550T excavators
- 4x 350T excavators
- 1x 190T excavators
- 17 x 220T dump trucks
- 9 x 190T dump truck
- 6 x 140T rigid dump trucks
- 1 x D11 dozers
- 5 x D10 dozers
- 3 x waters carts
- 2 x 16M graders.
The project supported approximately 100 local maintenance, administrative and safety personnel.
