PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The Brockman 4 to Brockman 2 Road Train Haul Road project stage 1 (B4 to B2) is to be constructed within the Greater Brockman Operations region (GBO). The site is approximately 8km from the Boolgeeda Airport
and 55km from the town of Tom Price. This road will ensure the safe and efficient transport of ore from Brockman 4 to Brockman 2 mine. The B4 to B2 Haul Road project is the fifth significant project awarded to
NRW by Rio Tinto, following the award of the PBO Reclaimer Rail Yards project in 2023, and A-West, WTS2 Haul Road Overpass, Hope Downs HDIS and Coastal Water Projects awarded in 2024.
CONTRACT SUMMARY
Scope of works includes:
- Pavement construction;
- Road surfacing;
- Road pavement markings;
- Installation of roadside signage and furniture;
- Construction of drainage structures;
- Establishment, maintenance & rehabilitation of Borrow Pits.
- Construction of and upkeep of any temporary and permanent laydown areas and access tracks and roadways including all those necessary to execute the works.
