The Iron Bridge Bulk Earthworks project involves the development and expansion of the existing magnetite mine (including processing and transport facilities) and associated infrastructure at the Iron Bridge project site.
The mine, when operational will support production of 22 wet million tonnes per annum (wmtpa) of high grade, magnetite concentrate product.
NRW’s contract of work is to construct the bulk earthworks and drainage for the mine plant site and associated roads and infrastructure pads.
The scope of work includes:
- Approximately 4 million cubic metres of bulk earthworks
- Approximately 3.6 million cubic metres of drill and blast
- 195 hectares of clearing
- 15 kilometres of road construction
- 4 kilometres of culvert installation
The contract award is a testament to the strength of NRW’s existing relationship with Iron Bridge Operations following the North Star Stage 1 Project.
