NRW was recognised by BRW magazine as the third fastest growing private company in Australia. This reinforced our growing reputation in the industry and provided the basis for future growth.
As the company increased in size, NRW established a dedicated Safety Division. As a result, we completed an overhaul of our safety and management systems and achieved initial pre-qualification for Rio Tinto Iron Ore – a significant milestone.
NRW’s relationship with Rio Tinto (formerly Hamersley Iron) formally commenced in 2002 when we were awarded a tailings dam contract at Paraburdoo. This contract represented NRW’s successful breakthrough into the Pilbara.
Our relationship with Rio Tinto continued to go from strength to strength and we were able to negotiate a significant waste mining contract at Paraburdoo.
