Before too long, we were one of the leading tailings dam constructors in the region and we also landed our first long term major contract for Westlime in Dongara, WA.
NRW acquired Opthalmia Contracting to establish a presence in the Pilbara and began operating from Newman. Opthalmia held a three year contract to service BHP Billiton Iron Ore’s Mt Whaleback iron ore mine.
NRW’s Transport Division was established in the late 1990’s. What looked like something from a wreckers yard was rebuilt, refurbished, refitted and was transformed into our first prime mover.
