NRW SECURES $620M ROY HILL CONTRACT

Today, NRW Holdings Limited announced it has signed a $620M contract with Samsung C & T Corporation for earthworks on the rail formation between the Roy Hill Minesite and Port Hedland.

Preliminary construction will commence in September 2013 and the scheduled completion date is January 2015. At its peak, the project will employ a workforce of up to 1,500 personnel.

The scope of works include construction of approximately 330 kilometres of main line heavy haul rail formation together with sidings, level crossing and associated works.
