PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Subsequent to the Brockman 4 Pioneering Works, NRW were awarded the bulk earthworks contract for the Brockman 4 Phase 1 Mine Infrastructure works. The total volume of bulk earthworks was in excess of 3.5 million cubic metres.
Works included over 50 kilometres of highway standard sealed road, built under traffic; 44 kilometres of railway including rail loop; the construction of a stockpile area; reinforced earth ROM wall; all infrastructure and plant site pads inclusive of services; permanent village earthworks; major mine cut off drains; two six metre diameter arched rail overpasses; haul roads; mine dewatering system and airstrip.
Peak manning on this project exceeded 550 personnel.
